Salad in a Sombrero
Could have posted this on Savory Salvations due to the pictured green salad, but instances like this are actually part of our real life.

Desert Rainbow
I pull photos from my real life and share them here with you. In reality is a much better place to live your life but the virtual side can help you spread everyday greatness like this photo here.
Just a rainbow and some sunshine.
When my father passed away, I believe he left a bit of his natural photographic passion inside of me. I do believe, dear sister, he left a bit inside of you as well.

The Importance of White
For my digital photography course, we took this seemingly benign photo. It was to stress the importance of white and it's power to create contrast. The students took an alternative photo with a model standing in the middle. However, this one evoked the most chatter. Plain white wall. It's the simplest of backgrounds but very striking.

No Fooling Fall
I've been a fool and tried to ignore the changing season. It wasn't until the sound of the chainsaw and the hatchet launched me out of my sleep one cold and dreary day, that I accepted the impending colder weather. It was full on fire preparation as piles of massive wood stumps and trees were dismantled by man's hands then meticulously stacked.
There is beauty in every season and I welcomed the change by photographing the wood stack a few weeks back. That rhymed. Wood is a naturally clean burning energy source. If you're handy like that, chop your own and save heaps on your energy bill.
Have a ball this Fall by staying wood warm, Southern Hemi.

Robert Clark & My Feather Affinity
Robert Clark is on a photographic mission to unearth the evolutionary mystery behind feathers. Attention, ornithologists!
I've an affinity for feathers. So much so, that I've acquired one of a permanent nature. When I caught wind of Clark's growing collection of feather photos for National Geographic, I knew I had to share with all of you. This collection of fascinating photos is the basis for a book focusing on the feather's role in the process of evolution. They allow animals to take flight, defy gravity and move above all the rest of the species on earth with a combination of the feather's structure, aerodynamic design and even color. Science is incredible. Despite all that, they are simply beautiful.

How Cool Is Fall?
There are some people in your life who are indispensable. They listen and care and love like you do. Then, they go and do a marked photographic thing like this that catapults them into a whole other level of cool.
Leave it to Instagram for proof that the seasonal tides are changing. Mother Earth is beautiful. Happy Fall.

Scenes from Our Real (Working) Life
We ventured into the rubble to capture this shot. Working with children is joy. Just look at that gorgeous face!
