Sunflower Season

School is back in session here and it is the middle of summer. Very odd for us to start school with the new year but how appropriate. A good way to motivate the children to get back in the school spirit is seen right here. These are all over town as many schools planted sunflower seeds in the spring before the holiday to greet students as they came back to school in the new year. The colors are amazing and you cannot help but stop and stare. We took a photo of this big daddy outside of one of the schools we visit for activities. It's over 25cm across the flower and about 1.8m tall. How gorgeous is this? Take some time to soak it in because we do everyday. Happy Back to School!
